Executive Team

Mike Gardner, CEO

Mike Gardner is President and CEO of Recombo Inc. He joined the company in February of 2005 with a vision to create a transformational platform that dramatically improves the way business handles and manages agreements. Gardner is widely recognized as an innovative leader of change. He is known for bringing practical technology solutions to challenging but common business problems.

Under Gardner’s leadership, Recombo has grown from a systems integration organization to an on-demand information management service that continues to transform cloud computing. In 2007 Canadian Business called Recombo’s Agreement Express platform one of “12 business innovations that will change your world”.

Throughout his career Gardner has been committed to actively bringing positive change to our society. For nearly a decade he has been actively involved with the ALS Society of British Columbia (Lou Gehrig’s Disease) and the ALS Society of Canada. Over his tenure Mike has chaired several committees including National Advocacy, Partner Advisory, and Chairman of both organizations. He has been the recipient of the William Fraser Leadership Award, and continues to volunteer his time for this cause.

Prior to joining Recombo, Gardner, a 20 year veteran of the software industry, spent 6 years at Cayenta, an international ERP software vendor for the utility and public sector markets. Between 1998 and 2004 Gardner led Cayenta to profitable 46% compound annual growth despite challenging economic conditions that existed during that period. His past experience has taken him through several firms including Canadian Pacific (Interlink), Cryptologic and PWC. In addition he has driven several entrepreneurial opportunities, assuming leadership of a family founded alternative energy company at age 18, and founding his own EDP auditing firm at age 23. Gardner personally installed more than 1000 solar and alternative energy heating systems beginning in the pioneering days of energy conservation circa 1984.

In addition to his charitable Board experience, Gardner is a member of the Board of Directors of Axia Software, Bluetide Management, a past board member for First Geneva Payment Corp., and several other firms. Gardner earned his MBA from Queen's University. His undergraduate work was in Economics and Statistics at Ryerson University in Toronto and in International Business at Hanzehogeschool in the Netherlands.

Mike Christie, VP Product Experience

Mike leads Recombo's development team in the advancement, production, and delivery of software product. Under his direction, Recombo has successfully launched Agreement Express which has been lauded for its ease-of-use, despite the complex processing it requires to transform static files into interactive agreements.

After a lengthy tenure at Harris Computer Systems overseeing their web application initiatives, Mike brings an invaluable wealth of knowledge and experience in emerging technologies, specifically within Human Resources and Finance systems.

John Poyser, VP Customer Experience

As Vice President of Professional Services, John guides Recombo's vision of an empowered client base by overseeing all Customer Support operations including technical architecture and infrastructure, delivery of customer solutions, and training. He drives Recombo's commitment to excellence with his direct focus on interaction with our customers.

John has held senior positions of escalating accountability in Technical Consulting, Professional Services, and Training with Cayenta and Harris Computer Systems. Most recently with Pivotal, a leading CRM provider, in Program Management where he leveraged his experience leading complex technical implementations and his customer-centric focus into designing better software.

John holds an Engineering degree from the University of Waterloo and is an accredited Professional Engineer.

Randall Isaac, Senior Vice President Global Sales and Marketing

As SVP Sales and Marketing, Randall is responsible for the execution of industry leading revenue growth of Recombo. His direct responsibilities are global marketing, as well as all sales channels. He is committed to implementing and managing world class sales process systems - and develop the finest sales professionals along the way.

Randall is also founder and owner of Bluetide Management - a sales forecasting software company that was selected by Salesforce.com as "Best Application of 2008" for sales forecasting.

Prior to Bluetide, Randall was a key leader and architect of the North American Mid Market sales division at Crystal Decisions (later acquired by Business Objects, then both by SAP). After building an organization that was the cornerstone of revenue growth for Crystal, Randall went on the lead the 600 partners in Business Object's North American Value added reseller (VAR) network. After implementing an innovative "Net New" opportunity model, the VAR channel posted record breaking revenue growth.

Reed Clayton, VP Market Development

A graduate of the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication at Arizona State University, Reed has proven success in developing and delivering high-level communication strategies for companies, both in Canada and the US. With a passion for advertising and marketing, his experience spans over 10 years of successfully managing multiple projects and tight deadlines.

Before his appointment at Recombo, Reed was notably Director of Marketing at Stockhouse Media Inc., and e-Business Director at Diamonds Direct, an international diamond brokerage house. In these positions, Reed was instrumental in adding measurable value to both business and consumer market segments. From methodology and analysis, to research and interpretation, Reed is well-versed in developing integrated brands, strategic CRM, direct/ loyalty programs, and opt-in/ incentive-based online and offline promotions. An ‘out-of-the-box’ marketer, Reed brings experience, energy and passion to Recombo---with a smile on his face.
